In my time at pinehill school I have learned how to write various types of poetry.

Clouds

White and fluffy like candy floss , the clouds remind me of more . They’re not just big ,huge white clouds , for if they were they’d  be a bore .clouds are the monster’s  that  cry the rain on the most peaceful days.and give you the shower of happiness when you feel gray .

Together

I am me and you are you

I like pink and you like blue

We are like twins, some people say,

but i think that we are both unique in a way

You sleep with a blanket, I sleep with soft toys I am quiet you like to make noise

And that's how I like it

don't change yourself now

I can be me and you can be you.

Nature

trees with leaves painted green

                 Flowers flowers I call for hours

   Sunshine that little lemon burning my eyes

Wind oh the wind blowing me away ,

to an island called Nature

all of these poems were written by myself  and were written about people or things that I have done for instance "together" was written about myself and my best friend . 'nature" was written when I had moved house and I was writing In my garden .

 What I have recently learned on mathletics 

I have recently learned on mathletics that the improper fractions on a number line task is not as hard as I thought it would be . I asked for a little bit of help from my teacher and she gave  me some success criteria that I could follow . The success criteria made it much easier for me to get the task done . The success criteria was :
#1 Look at the whole number ?what makes a whole ( the denominator )
#2 how many wholes are there ?
#3 count up the extras
#4 and then add them on

This success criteria showed me what I  needed to do in order to get that I needed for TEAM NZ on mathletics . It helped me a lot .

• From a very young age, Piet Mondrian was exposed to art. His father was a qualified art instructor and his uncle was an artist.

As Monet grew up, he wanted to become an artist. Claude’s father however wanted him to go into the family grocery business.

Van Gogh wrote over 800 letters in his lifetime. The majority of them written to his brother and closest friend Theo.Van Gogh wrote over 800 letters in his lifetime. 

Vincent’s brother’s wife collected Vincent’s paintings and letters after his death and dedicated herself to getting his work the recognition it deserved.
